Are you a drug pusher? You should be.

The human body is an amazing creation. It produces its own drugs that make it happy. Let’s consider how we can all be drug pushers and make the world a better place.

Oxytocin is my favorite self-made drug. Actually, it’s a hormone, but technically that’s a drug. It reduces blood pressure and cortisol levels. It has anti-anxiety effects but its best and highest use — in my humble opinion — is its ability to stimulate positive social interaction. In fact is it sometimes called the love hormone.

If you don’t have enough in your system, you probably will have less empathy for others. There are numerous ways to stimulate your own oxytocin production but that’s not what where I’m going today.

I want you to push this drug on others. Harry, you’re thinking, what the heck are you talking about?

By your actions, you can cause an increase in another person’s oxytocin level. Wouldn’t that be cool — to spread love and good feelings wherever you go? Here’s how you do it.

Tell someone you love that you love them. The good news is that you’ll boost your own levels, too.

Next, use social media. Go to Facebook and like a photo of a friend you haven’t connected with in a while, or drop a nice comment on their timeline. Again, it boosts the levels of both people.

Finally, hug people. Touch raises oxytocin in the hugger and the hug-ee, while reducing cardiovascular stress and boosting the immune system. Pretty cool, huh?

So, get out there and push some drugs. OK, gotta go. If I see you today, you’re getting a hug.
